Our Staff

While Laurel Care Home is all about our residents, nothing would be possible without the dedicated care delivered by our experienced team. Felicity Dennis leads a loyal and dedicated nursing team with over 150 years of nursing experience – that average 15 years each. One of our senior nurses started as a 15-year-old kitchen assistant, trained as a nurse and now is a sister of the day shift. All of the senior team and nurses have done care shifts – “none are too posh to wash”.

Every member of our team is dedicated to improving their skills and knowledge. We equip our staff to be the best they can be by offering regular training and the opportunity to gain formal qualifications. Many have developed specialist skills in caring for the elderly where they have expanded their knowledge base and put the best care into practice. A high percentage of our carers have been with us between 10-20 years and our relationship crosses generations e.g. Mum and daughter teams.
