Laurence became a director at Laurel Care Home in July 1990 after taking over from the founders of the home, his parents. He has a diploma in Social Care and was a key driver towards the home offering Nursing Care as well as Residential Care. Laurence describes himself as a history nerd, well-travelled and enjoys the Argentinian Tango.

Felicity Dennis
Registered Manager/Matron
Felicity Dennis and her team are the drivers of excellence at Laurel Care Home, which is reflected in the standards of care we provide. Felicity brings a hoard of professional qualifications and experience; she is a Registered Nurse, has a BSc in Palliative Care & End of Life Care, NVQ 4 in Management, she is also a Manual Handling and Student Nurse Assessor. Her skills have been recognised in the awards she has collected in her career like her Management Development Award and Registered Managers Award. She describes herself as mad about Christmas, kept young by her grandchildren and loves to cook and entertain with friends.

Beverley Reynolds
Deputy Manager
Beverly joined Laurel Care Home in October 2009 bringing a wealth of experience and qualifications to the home. Beverley is a qualified Registered General Nurse, Enrolled Nurse General, has a Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care, an ENB941 and is a 6 steps Trainer in End of Life Care. She is known for always using humour in her work and loves to spend time with her grandchildren and as she puts it “Trying to keep fit and failing!”.

Ruth Fredericks
Kitchen Manager
Ruth has been with us at the home since 1989 making her one of the longest-serving employee’s we have. She’s an integral cog in the machine who manages a team of kitchen staff as well as feeding over 60 residents fresh, home-cooked and extremely tasty meals. Ruth is a master at her craft, having run a kitchen for the past 40 years. She enjoys gardening, walking with friends and having fun with her grandchildren in her free time.

Saskia Palin- Kaufmann
Administrator
Laurel Care Home’s administrator Saskia, has been at the home since September 2015 and is known for her tasty homemade deserts in the office. She is fully AAT qualified and has a Business & Administration Level 3 qualification. Saskia loves to travel and enjoys Asian food.

Sharon Hyde
Housekeeping Supervisor
Sharon joined Laurel Care Home in November 2019 and is the supervisor of the housekeeping at the home making her a key member of the team. Sharon has fantastic qualifications such as an NVQ4 in Management and a COSHH Certificate. Sharon enjoys spending her free time walking in the forest and touring the sites of Great Britain in her motor home.
