Accommodation

At Laurel Care Home, we understand that our residents’ care starts with their happiness and comfort. That’s why we offer spacious single bedrooms that are fully equipped for the unique care needs of all our residents. Whilst we encourage an active social life and participation in our activities, our residents also enjoy the privacy of their own rooms equipped with en-suite bathrooms. We are also in a position to accommodate couples who wish to share a bedroom.

Each room is equipped to a very high standard and residents are encouraged to bring whatever personal items we can fit in the rooms to maintain a safe environment for staff to work in. This has included pictures and photographs, trinkets, their own chairs (fire retardant and PAT tested), their own bedding if they want too.

We recently built an extension of four bedrooms on the ground floor. These bedrooms all have double doors opening out directly into the garden. The design was specifically planned to allow people who may have to be cared for in bed, the ability for their bed to be brought out into the garden.

What our CQC Inspector Found:

“The provider had built an extension of four bedrooms on the ground floor. These bedrooms all had double doors opening out directly into the garden. The registered manager told us this was specifically planned to allow people who may have to be cared for in bed, the ability for their bed to be brought out into the grounds if they wished. People’s bedrooms were highly personalised and included items and belongings that were of comfort to them. One person told us they would like their room to be painted in bright colours. We raised their views with the registered manager who confirmed this would be arranged as soon as possible.”
